Editorial Reviews and Product Descriptions

Amazon.com Product Description

This analog/digital Casio Waveceptor men's atomic watch (WVA430DA-1AV) combines powerful style with technologically advanced timepiece features. It's solar-powered--charging in either sunlight or indoor light--so you'll never have to deal with changing the battery. A great choice for your active lifestyle, this watch includes a 1/100 second stopwatch that can measure up to 100 hours, and it offers elapsed time, split/lap time, and 1st/2nd place timing features. It's stylishly appointed with a sleek stainless steel bracelet band that tapers slightly as it winds around the wrist.

The dark gray dial face includes luminous-tipped silver triangle markers, luminous sword-shaped hands (with red seconds hand), minute indexes with small Arabic numeral hour marks around the outer edge of the dial, and a digital display at the bottom. Digital timing features, in addition to the stopwatch, include three daily alarms world time for 29 time zones/30 cities, 12/24-hour time, and auto-calendar programmed to 2039. The AfterGlow LED electro luminescent backlight provides easy readability in low-light conditions. Other features include a power-saving function (turns display off when in the dark), battery power indicator, and water resistance to 100 meters (330 feet)--offering protection from accidental splashes as well suitable for swimming, snorkeling, and light recreational diving.

This radio-controlled watch receives a time calibration signal transmitted from Fort Collins, Colorado, and signal reception is possible within a radius of about 2,000 miles from the Fort Collins transmitter. You can choose to automatically receive this signal five times a day, or manually update the Waveceptor to the atomic clock.

this watch od by far the best one (casio watch) I had so far. i have received many complements about it. it is elegant, not bulcky, solar powered, accurate, and durable. I am writing this review after 2 years of me purchasing it and it is still shiny and in a new-condition.

Never needs setting, never needs a battery, accurate to less than a second and easy to use. Can't beat at virtually any price.

I enjoyed very much playing with my new watch which seems to me a sophisticated magic machine I ever had before. Recently it's adjusted automatically by itself the Summer time saving without a second of error, matching exactly the new time showed in my computer!
I am so happy!

I love the watch. I was looking for a more elegant, analog version of my G-Shock waveceptor and this watch fits the bill perfectly. My only complaint would be; I wish it had the same "Indiglo" night light as the G-Shock.
