Product Description

From the makers of the original Swiss Army Knife, this "flight" version of a removable USB memory stick does not include Swiss Army Knife tools so it can pass airport-security checks. Protected by a rugged 2-1/4-inch Alox housing with key ring, the memory stick stores 2 GB of data such as music, photos, and text files for convenient transportation. The handsome housing displays the Swiss Army Knife’s famed Swiss-flag logo of white cross against a red background. Accompanying the memory stick is a USB cable for connecting to PCs and MACs.

About Victorinox
In 1884, Swiss cutler Karl Elsener set up shop in Ibach-Schwyz, installing a waterwheel in Tobelbach Brook to run his grinding and polishing machines. Thus began what would become the international brand name Victorinox, a combination of Victoria, for Elsener's mother, and "inox," or stainless steel. Today, Victorinox produces watches, luggage, clothing, and, famously, Swiss Army Knives. The forerunner of that name dates to 1897, when Elsener patented the Swiss Officer's and Sports Knife he supplied to the Swiss Army. Following World War II, American servicemen and women shopping in PX stores shortened the name to Swiss Army Knife, which lives on in English-speaking countries around the world and has become a metaphor or versatility.

Light wieght yet heavy duty enough to protect the drive. It also seems to have the ability to replace it with a larger drive should they make one in the future. I would precoment this product to any one who is looking for a safe and convenient way to store information and keep on their person.

The SwissMemory I purchased is only a flash drive but is a very good design and quality. Have not tried to get it by TSA yet so that should be interesting. Highly recommended.
