It's true, the manual is horrible, but it's not rocket science, so if you have any mechanical skills at all, you don't really need one. In 10 minutes, i had knocked out a tight blind dovetail, only having skimmed over the pictures, and made some quick modifications.

It's a solidly built product, and i can't foresee ever having something break or wear out.

I've seen the jig alone sold for $199, so this is a great deal, and the router is fantastic!

just right for what i needed. this is my second router and a big upgrade from the hand me down i got from a friend. I had never used a dovetail jig and on the first try following the booklet i had my first blind dovetail joint in about 10 minutes (i went extra slow since it was my first time). the router also works well without using the jig the one wrench bit change is nice and the ability to make it a plunge with a quick change of the base (sold seprately). the only down side is that the router didnt come with a storage box as it would if i had bought the router on its own but with plans for a router table with a drawer just for it that is a small deal for me.
