Product Description

From the makers of the original Swiss Army Knife, this 2-1/4-inch-long tool combines the Swiss Army Knife’s renowned versatility and a removable 1 GB USB memory stick for storing and transporting data such as music, photos, and text files. Displaying the Swiss Army Knife’s famed Swiss-flag logo of white cross against a red background, the rugged silver Alox housing also holds a knife blade, a combination nail file and screw driver, a scissors, a retractable ballpoint pen, a LED mini light, and a key ring. Accompanying the tool is a USB cable for connecting the memory stick to PCs and MACs.

About Victorinox
In 1884, Swiss cutler Karl Elsener set up shop in Ibach-Schwyz, installing a waterwheel in Tobelbach Brook to run his grinding and polishing machines. Thus began what would become the international brand name Victorinox, a combination of Victoria, for Elsener's mother, and "inox," or stainless steel. Today, Victorinox produces watches, luggage, clothing, and, famously, Swiss Army Knives. The forerunner of that name dates to 1897, when Elsener patented the Swiss Officer's and Sports Knife he supplied to the Swiss Army. Following World War II, American servicemen and women shopping in PX stores shortened the name to Swiss Army Knife, which lives on in English-speaking countries around the world and has become a metaphor or versatility.

To my disappointment, this USB pocket knife arrived without the scissors/knife/etc., JUST the USB key. It's called the "Flight" version of the piece. Ridiculous!! Get it together, Amazon!

I had the exact same problem as another reviewer. Ordered this for Christmas, the description clearly states it's a memory card with knife, file and scissors and all I received was the memory card only model. It's obviously too late to get an exchange by Christmas! :\

What I got was nothing like the one shown in the picture. The picture shows the Swiss pocket knife with a blade, scissors, file, memory card, etc.. I got one with just the memory card. :(

I have carried Victorinox knives for years (six years in the Marine Corps and the Swiss Classic is the most knife I ever needed) and liked the idea of being able to combine my pen knife with my flash drive. Sized the same as the Swiss Classic (about 1" blade) but thicker, the Alox version does not have a toothpick, tweezers, or any of the other functions Victorinox typically puts into the sides of the handle but that is a small loss. I found the removable flash drive to be reliable and I have not had a problem using it on various computers. Because the flash drive is removable, you can take it off the knife to install on a computer or keep with you on the plane. When folded into the knife, there is a cover that keeps dirt and lint out of the USB connection. I am satisfied and am thinking about getting the 2gb model.
