Originally This item came with a whole set, so I was exceptionally pleased that you could buy it separately because that is the only piece I needed to replace. It worked right out of the box Thank goodness I missed using my drill had to use my husbands a few times while waiting on this, so I was anxious. Be careful Not to drop.They are more fragile than you think. I think That's what happened to break mine in the first place.

I am not happy that I had to replace the original battery charger considering that it has not been used very much to date, just for an occasional job around the house. It is also sad that I have a Black & Decker Firestorm 12V Cordless Drill that is for the most part obsolete now even though it is only a few years old. The reason I bought my replacement charger from Amazon is that I could not find any replacement parts for my drill at any of the major retail outlets. I will probably not buy another B&D product the next time I need a power tool.

That said, I am quite satisfied with this replacement Black and Decker PS160 12 Volt Battery Charger #418352-0 purchased from Amazon.com. It works fine. I am just worried that it too may not last a long time, but so far so good.

As far as Amazon.com goes? I have bought a number of items from them over the past several years, and to date I am totally satisfied with my transactions. I would recommend Amazon.com to anyone.

This charger performs just as the original. Unfortunately the original was a slow charge also.

The battery charger arrived on time, (kudos to the Amazon site), but the charger quit working in one day. It didn't even charge the battery. I now have two B&D chargers that do not work. I am afraid to order new batteries and another new charger. (If they do not work, then I would have spent more than I would purchasing a new drill). I guess I will buy a new drill, but not a Black & Decker.

Thought my drill was gone when I couldn't find the charger in either of the major leading hardware companies stores. Went on line and found exactly what I needed to continue using my Black & Decker Drill. Got the right charger on the first try over the internet. Great product and I didn't have to discard my drill.
