Incompatible with LG phone? Very poor sound quality. - Reviewed on 2008-08-14

Seems that my LG CU500 thinks this is not a headset, as it gives a different graphic for this vs. other headsets when plugged in.

I could hear others well, but they could barely hear me. Not just bad quality sound, but totally unusable. Speakerphone works better, and my 10 year old headset that shipped with my Panasonic cordless phone (that's a landline phone, folks) has stepped in for car duty.

Ended up in the trash since I lost the original packaging :(.

Resonably priced and a very good product. The quality of voice is good and it is very easy to operate. The ear pice is a bid loose and does not sit firm, you might have to hold it in plcae to hear better.
Disappointing. - Reviewed on 2008-08-01

The only reason I bought a head set is because of the new law in California requiring that one be used while driving. I did not want to purchase a blue tooth set because I didn't want another device that I would have to worry about keeping charged. I have used other plantronics headsets before and they have been great. However, this one is rather disappointing. This is 99% due to the fact that the headset volume is very poor. I have turned up the headset volume on my phone to its max volume and I can still barely hear the caller on the other end. The set supposedly has a noise canceling mic so that wind and background noise is not picked up, however this feature is useless because I have to have the windows up and the radio off just to be able to hear the other person talking to me. Even then I'm constantly asking people to repeat themselves. I make several business calls while driving and this just makes me seem like I'm not paying attention and makes me look very unprofessional. The cell phone I'm using is a Samsun M500 from Sprint. The audio quality during regular calls is great and the volume is more than adequate on the phone itself. So I don't think its my phone. Otherwise, the way the headset clips to your ear is unique and actually fairly comfortable. The only issue is that when you're driving and multitasking it can be a little tricky to put it on and get it to stay where you want it. Over all, I would recommend this product if I could simply just hear the person Im talking to. Being that it fails in this most basic sense of its purpose, I'd say to buy something else.

Bought two of these, one for the wife. For the money you can't beat it. The fact that they connect at the bottom of your ear is a nice design feature. It's comfortable and people have no problem hearing you.
Not the best if you wear earrings - Reviewed on 2008-07-29

I have had this a few weeks and like it. I hear my callers just fine. I've asked and they hear me just fine as well. No "tunnel" sound or anything. The little devise to use for hands free calling works well. If only I could teach my phone English! Anyway, my only complaint is: the way this hooks on the ear is from underneath. I'm a girl and I wear earrings so this has been a problem for me. Hoops are a particularly tricky and sometimes painful adventure. It is otherwise comfortable to wear and stays on once it's in place. I would highly recommend this to anyone who does not wear earrings.
