Not Exactly What I Expected - Reviewed on 2008-11-16

The size is perfect for storing cooking oil from medium to small fry jobs. However, the lid does not stay on well at all. The lid should have been designed to grasp the outside of the container or fit just inside the container wall or something. With that in mind, you have to be very careful when storing or removing the container from the cabinet or pantry. The strainer works very well and fits the container very well. I have used the container several times and I would have given it 5 stars if the lid had a better fit. I still keep a regualar stainless steel canister with a glass lid handy for larger amounts of used cooking oil that I use by placing a small strainer over when pouring the cooking oil. The lid on my regualar canister works much better than the one on this product. The grease keeper works great - just needs a better lid design. And they could offer it in a slightly larger size.

This turned out to be exactly what I wanted. It holds just a hair more than a quart, so if you store your grease in fruit jars in the fridge, don't fill the can to the top first. the screen is fine enough to catch almost all of the junk but course enough for good flow. The front of the can has a pour spout, and of course it is all stainless steele, no aluminum here. defenately worth the price

I love this product. It is bigger than I thought which is good because it can hold enough to fry chicken.
