Happy with Purchase - Reviewed on 2008-09-20

I'd been shopping around for a good, large non-stick pan for quite a while before deciding on this one. This pan compares very favorably in quality to those I found in the B&M stores around here and the price was lower, too.

At first a skillet with no long handle seemed a little awkward, but after one sink soak, that became a favorite feature. I've used it to dry sear a large rump roast and, in doing so, badly blackened the interior of pan, but a paste of baking soda/vinegar brought it back to almost new.

The pan is very lightweight, especially the lid, so that's keeping me from giving it 5-stars, but with proper care, I expect to get my money's worth out of this pan and would purchase again.
My favorite pan! - Reviewed on 2008-08-06

This pan replaced my large nonstick frying pan. I was a bit concerned about sticking food and cleanup, but haven't had a problem at all. This pan is lighter weight than I am used to, but I like that. Makes it much easier to handle. I love that I can use this beautiful pan to serve as well as cook. I highly recommend this item!

We had been looking for a good pan to replace our old Meyer skillet. This really fits the bill. We no longer trust the non-stick pans and this one is easy to clean and does well in the dishwasher.

Purchased this pan to replace a same-sized non-stick pan because of health considerations and all the favorable reviews here. This pan is solidly and beautifully made. It does make a very nice presentation statement and should last forever. It cooks evenly and has a special lip which makes pouring easy and facilitates the sealing of the lid, which makes chicken and fish turn out wonderfully moist and delicious. However, no matter what method of oiling, preheating, closing the lid, etc., my food still always sticks to some extent - probably this is the downside for healthy stainless steel - but the pan is easy to clean after some hot-water and dish-washing-liquid soaking. Note: the lid is solid stainless steel so not 'see through', but a clear 12" universal frying pan lid fits just fine... This pan is way worth it: it's beautiful, cooks well, is healthy, and easy enough to clean. The price is unbelievable. Five Stars, Excellent Value!!
Think they changed the name... - Reviewed on 2008-06-01

Cuisinart has two different grades of cookware. I've bought a couple of sets and seven or eight seperate pieces of what used to be called Chef's Classic over the last five or six years, and I love it!. One time I mistakenly ordered a set of the cheaper lighter weight pans. I quickly returned the set. That is what this pan is. I ordered it, and I'll keep it, but it's far inferior to what I already have. This is not nearly as well made. I see they now have a MultiClad Pro line... Seems as if they changed the names.
