Editorial Reviews and Product Descriptions

Album Description

Japanese pressing scheduled to include 2 bonus tracks. . Includes the single 'Cold (But I’m Still Here)', with passionate vocals, huge hooks, and infectious hard rock. But the record, produced by Trevor Kustiak, stays strong throughout, as the band courses through eleven emotionally and musically powerful tracks, including the crashing, metallic 'Possession' and the dramatic, slowbuilding 'Quote'. Evans Blue fuses elements of early Live, U2, and other meaty radio rock bands like Disturbed and Audioslave. 2006.

Musically tight, it rocks. But singers voice is a little weak, and the lyrics, though personal and stuff people can relate to, lack poetry and/or creative wording. But all in all, some pretty catchy tunes, love the remake of Sarah Mcloughlin (?) tune, definitely worth buying.

I became the biggest fan of Evans Blue after their first album. I was so excited about this cd coming out! Their hit- "The Pursuit" is just amazing! This CD has not let me down at all! I listen to it all of the time. I have only had it a month and have just about worn it out. Of course, after listening to it a few times I picked out my favorite songs...the ones that made me feel so much. Then after listening to it more and more, EVERY song is a favorite. I started to listen to every word and the way it flows with the music. Let me just say Evans Blue not only plays and sings well, but the writers of the songs are very talented.
I still have my favorite songs....don't we all?
I am such a fan of this CD and the band.....I proudly wear my Evans Blue shirt and show and announce this CD to every one. I wish every one knew about this band!
The songs on this CD speak to every one on a different level.
"Pin-Up" is a favorite of many. It is my favorite! The music is slow....you begin to feel a sadness inside...may be a regret....then may be some ugly inside of you...and here we go into the chorus! It gets a little faster...and this burst of feeling just keeps pouring out of you!
Most of the songs on this cd are this way. They all have an edge to them. Some are harder than others. That's when you let out the rage inside! You will pull out the good, the bad, and the ugly....and it feels so freakin' GREAT!!!!
"Kiss the Flag" is very patriotic!
"Painted" is pretty amazing. Listen to it... and realize that you may cover up a lot of yourself for others and the world. Where is the real you? Find it.
"Caught a Lite Sneeze" is originally written by Tori Amos. Evans Blue does a fantastic job of singing this.
This entire cd is so much more than I could possibly put into words. You feel something with every song. You can be in any sort of mood and then listen to this CD...and BAM!!!!!!..you feel so powerful...so ALIVE.....something about this music makes you feel so happy to be awake and breathing. It is also a good way to release hurt that may have built up inside your "painted" self.
Buy this cd...and feel more ALIVE....FREE...and FEEL all of the passion that is flowing out of the music of Evans Blue. Bang your head around a little

If you like listening to modern alternative radio this a good band. They have borrowed enough from different artists to appeal to a variety of listeners. I was turned off a little by hearing a little too much Tool influence. I like Tool but, it would be nice if someone could create their own sound but I suppose this band (like many others) is trying to utilize a popular formula for success. Anyway, some people will really like this Band.

I picked up this cd because some reviews compare this band to Tool. So I was surprised at first, but then i realized that this band is not like tool they are totally different style of music.
Evans blue is more like Chevelle and Cold.
Buy this cd if you are into alternative metal.
