Editorial Reviews and Product Descriptions

Say you're a fearless, smart, crime-solving high school student: what's on your iPod? If you're Veronica Mars, you've got a great playlist. The songs included on the "Veronica Mars" soundtrack (featured in both seasons one and two) are drawn from a pool of strong indie talent--exactly what you'd expect from a think-for-herself individual like Veronica. The Dandy Warhols' show-opening "We Used to Be Friends" sets up Veronica's emotional struggles in the deeply divided town of Neptune. And fans of the show will recall Cotton Mather's sad, Beatles-esque "Lily Dreams On" playing while a relieved Veronica dreams of her murdered best friend-- just after finally exposing her true killer. With additional tunes like Spoon's funked-up "I Turn My Camera On" and The Perishers smooth "Sway," plus the U.S. introduction of U.K. pop/punk band The Faders ("No Sleep Tonight"), the soundtrack moves through a wide range of musical and lyrical styles, yet somehow it hangs together, due in part to the eclectic nature of the show itself. Veronica aficionados will enjoy getting to know her even better through the songs chosen for this album, and newbies may soon find themselves converted to rabid fans. --Noelle Williams

More of a mixtape on life than a soundtrack. Amazing. - Reviewed on 2007-12-31

This is the best TV soundtrack I have ever listened to. Every song on here is a winner and great whether you like the show or not. It helps, but isn't required which is something that can't be said about many soundtracks.

The mix of tracks on here are very diverse and even though the track listing initially seems a little off, trust me, it flows very well. Some of the highlights that should be mentioned are "We Used to Be Friends" which is amazingly simple yet complex at the same time. The very monotone, but awesome "I Hear The Bells" along with "I Know I Know I Know". "Dakota", "Sway", "On Your Porch", "Momentary Thing", and "Lost and Found" are just amazing and worth the price of admission alone. To be honest, other than "I Turn My Camera On" which isn't a bad song it is just being played on every soundtrack and TV show right now, the album is fresh and a welcome change. It is a great mixtape.

I have had this in my rotation (or lack thereof now) for the past month and have no plans on taking it out. Plus even though it is only 14 tracks, every time I listen to it, this soundtrack is fresh and just enjoyable. It fits my mood, whether it be happy or sad, and I can definitely say this the best soundtrack (movie or TV) I have purchased in years.

Worth a purchase. Pick this up now. Even if you hated or were indifferent towards the show it is still great. If you loved the show, then this will be even better than the 5 stars I'm giving this "mixtape". I don't give out 5 stars easily. This one definitely earns more.

The Veronica Mars Soundtrack has become a staple in my family's drivetime music. The variety of genres makes the soundtrack interesting and never boring. Most of the songs you can sing along to. What I really like is that while you are listening to this cd you are evoking memories of certain episodes. Brilliant, highly recommended.

I don't buy many CDs, but I own two copies of this CD. I purchased one and was given one as a gift. I keep one in my car and one in my home. If you are a Veronica Mars fan, I definitely recommend you purchase this CD. Majority of the songs are from Season 2. My favorite songs are: We Use To Be Friends, I Hear the Bells, I Know I Know I Know, Sway, and Ocean City Girl. The best song is the theme song and Ocean City Girl, because when my husband and I were driving to Assateague Island, Maryland this summer, he played Ocean City Girl for me when we drove through Ocean City, Maryland. Soundtracks are usually good, this one is awesome. I hope they come out with a CD for Season 3.

Some of these songs I loved when I bought it, and the rest I have come to love. Remembering them all from the series made it even better.

It's one of those cd's you have to listen to over & over again before you can begin to really like it, i honestly thought it would be alittel bit more heavier it's more pop / alternative then i wanted it to be. I was hoping it would cacth more of the music that the character veronica mars likes but they don't play alot of numetal on the tv show. Otherwise i tip my hat off to Rob Thomas the shows creator who also helped produce the soundtrack it is really good! i highly recommend this cd to anyone who is a veronica mars fan.
