The pendant is actually 1 1/2 inches wide, not one inch as stated. The three rings turn independently of eachother. I bought this for the chain; I needed to replace one that had broken. The snake chain seems sturdy and the clasp loop is thin which worked for me because the charm I wanted to use had a small opening at the top.
