Wouldn't install at all on Windows Vista. Product claims to be compatible with XP, but gave an error and exited. Search the web for "my amazing human body xp patch" to find a patch. Even with the patch, though, this is clearly very old software that is not truly XP compatible, as the term is used in industry. Publisher is selling very old goods; this hasn't been updated in 10 - 12 years. That's fine for a book, but not for software.

This worked well on an older PC, but does not work on current versions of XP: you just get a message regarding inappropriate sound drivers and gracefully exit. There is nothing relevant in the readmes, and no online help from the firm.

A few days after I wrote this I tracked down the company, now Global Software Publishing. There is a patch which will fix the XP problem at: [...] Turn off virus protection software first. Still no reason why Max OSX isn't supported even though the package says it is, but apparently buying an upgrade to version 1.2 might fix that problem.

I bought this for my 7 year old daughter and she has really enjoyed it and learned a lot. The illustrations and games are a wonderful adventure into the human body. Highly recommended.

I bought this cd from Scholastic for over $15 and it doesn't work on newer computers. My Amazing Human Body has a copyright of 1997. When I tried to install it on my Windows XP, I got a message that it might not work because this cd is for Windows 95. The computer was right, it didn't work on Windows XP. The outside of the package said it should work on Windows XP, but it sure doesn't work. What a waste of money!!
