Used this so I could watch DVDs longer on my international flights. Works really great and adds about an extra 4 hours to a portable DVD player. I got two cause international flight usually range from 8 to 12 hours.

I'm slightly disappointed because I was not informed by the product details that this battery will go bad after 300 number of charging/discharging cycles. Of course, there is no battery with permanent life. But that was an important information from the customers' points of view, however, the information the seller wanted to hide to boost their business. Amazon doesn't allow to adjust the number of stars.

I've been always faced with (just a little bit) shortage of laptop juice when I work outside the office. I should have bought this years ago.

For laptops, try from lower voltages, for example my Toshiba requires 14.5V but 12V from this battery makes it work without any problems. I'm so happy with 3 more hours of power. I presume other laptops(like Fujitsu I see in other reviews) will work in the similar ways.

It terminates charging when it's full, so I just charge it overnight before I go. So simple, and works!

Our family bought two of these items as Christmas presents, primarily to allow both my son and I to have extended time on our respective laptops. I now know that this power backup device would have have been a stretch for my son's Fujitsu Lifebook that requires a 19 volt input, but I was amazed that it couldn't even provide power backup to my power-miser Compaq Presario. At the time I bought my Presario, just a few months ago, it was the smallest and most energy efficient laptop that Costco had to offer. Now I see essentially the same machine at Costco on the shelf above the "MyPower" rechargeable power device, and I have to say I feel it's a bit disenginuous for the vendor to suggest on their packaging, both with an illustration and words, that their product is the answer to extended battery life for notebook computers.

It's still Christmas day and we've only opened and tried the product today. Since it was a fairly major part of my college student son's presents, I feel let down. I suggest the vendor practice a little more discretion with their packaging, perhaps illustrating the devices it DOES work better with, and maybe even letting the buyer know that it MIGHT work on their laptop. But caveat emptor killed me on this one. I may try to take ours back to Costco tomorrow. I feel badly because I had to break into a nearly impenetrable plastic packaging so it's not going to look like a very pretty return package. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to come up with any other devices in our house that I could use it with, but since I have no reason to doubt that it works well for these other electronics, I decided to give a 2 rating rather than a 1. For me it was a bust, an unecessary bust because I was deceived into the purchase by the misleading packaging. I can't believe I'm the only one who seems to have this particular negative viewpoint on this product.

I used this product as a backup battery for a Toshiba portable DVD player. One problem is that it doesn't come with the right size adapter for the Toshiba. I called their support number. They answered right away, and where incredibly helpful. They would have over-nighted me the adapter, but it turns out that Radio Shack's adapters are compatible with the Tekkeon plugs. Worked great.

Product arrived timely as promised, in excellent condition. Only reason for not getting 5 stars is that it won't charge my Fujitsu LifeBook T4010. It did fit and charge all my other stuff, T3, TX and LifeDrive.
