better than Belkin radio adapter - Reviewed on 2008-08-17

My son is very pleased with the Philips cassette adapter for his Ipod. The sound quality is much better than his Belkin radio adapter.

I am using this tape adapter with my I-pod Nano and it really works great. There is no sound distortion at all. Simple plug and play and now I can take my I-pod with me for long trips.

Had a little trouble at first getting the adapter to work. Seller was very helpful. Once I reversed the wire as he suggested, worked great.
Great when it works... and a possible fix for when it doesn't - Reviewed on 2008-07-05

I needed a new cassette adaptor to replace an old Belkin model that was making too much noise, so I got three of these-one for a Monsoon stereo in a Passat, one for a stereo in a 203 Caravan and one for a 13-year-old stereo in a boat. They worked great in the Caravan and boat, but the first one I tried only worked intermittently in the Passat the first day, and then stopped working altogether. I removed the tension wheel from inside the adaptor and it didn't fix the problem, but when I switched it with one of the other (non-modified) adaptors, the other one worked fine. I'm sure the problem is related to the auto-reverse feature of the Monsoon stereo, and am guessing that it's related to the amount of tension that the tension wheel is applying. There's a straight metal spring element that can be bent to adjust the amount of tension, for others who might find themselves in a similar situation.

After the CD player in my truck crapped out, I bought this product to connect up my Sansa Clip MP3 player. It works fine. It was a cheap and better alternative to the CD player.
