The product was good. It works like an actual microwave. My 2 1/2 year old daughter has set up her kitchen and this toy is a major involvement in her meal preparation routine. It was difficult for us to find a microwave toy in a store, but this was worth it.

We bought this microwave in Germany under the brand name "Just like home". It is okay, but we know the "Just like home"-microwave which is sold in the USA. It talks and beeps - better than this one. It beeps,too, but you hardly hear it, because the microwave itself is too noisy. And the beep at the end is not louder or anyway different to the previous beeps. It also doesn't say "It's hot" or something alike.
Another minus point is, that you have to press "reset" first, before you select one of the three programms and than have to press "start". That's three buttons to press in correct order, which is a little bit too difficult for our 2-year-old son (but remark that this toy is labled for 3+). And when you hold you finger too long on the start button, it stops again, because this button is also the stop button. So, for the frustration of our son, sometimes the microwave doesn't do what it is supposed to do - in the eyes of our son. And even our 4 year old son had some difficulties with it.
But nevertheless, playing with his own microwaves makes a lot of fun to our son. Anyway, I'd rather bought the US-version of the Just like home-microwave.
