My last bathroom scale lasted about two decades. It was white, bland looking and had a circular dial. It worked fine. My new wife said that this just wouldn't do. We had to have a new better-looking scale. We looked around and selected this Taylor model. Ours is identical to the illustration shown, except that it has a gray foot area rather than black. We've now had it for about two years.

We like the small size and thin profile as it is not nearly as domineering as some models in the bathroom. The scale seems reasonably accurate, as far as we can tell. It sometimes takes an annoying amount of time to come up with a weight. Multiple weighings within a short time generally come out within a half pound of one another. My old scale could differ by as much as three pounds. Sometimes the readings can be vastly off, say 90 pounds or something like that. When that happens, you just have to get off and weigh again. Seldom does it take more than two or three weighings to get things right. I find the LCD readout hard to read in all but the best light. It is gentle on battery life.

I've never been particularly impressed with the scale and now the name tag around the weight-view area has come loose. Evidently it was only stuck down with some ineffective glue and will have to be glued back again. All in all, I would tend to regard the scale as a somewhat effective piece of junk. If someone asked, my advice would be that you could probably do better.

Worst product I have ever bought.The main purpose of this weighing scale is to tell me my exact weight and it shows me different weight every time i stand on it, even if the gad between my measurement is 10 mins. I just threw away my money..Please dont buy this product ever.

Good stuff! You just take it out of it's box, put it on the floor, stand on it, and there you go! When I first purchased it, I was worried that it would take a whole lot of manipulation to get it working, like just about all electronics these days. But I was so very pleasantly surprised when it JUST WORKED!

It's a small, simple scale that doesn't look half-bad, and it's a way that we can actually manage to use the metric system here in America. Just what I wanted. : )

This is the smallest scale you could buy... My fiancee bought me this scale since our old stopped working after a few years... I receive it and it is the smallest thing i have ever seen! I'm no giant.. I'm 6 feet tall, w/ about a size 11 1/2 shoe size and all of my toes are hanging off of this thing... This is designed for a petite woman. This is perfect for any woman who is shorter than 5'5 w/ small feet.

I understand that nothing (especially technology) lasts forever, but this scale had problems within 9 months of purchase. I thought it was the battery, so I bought a new battery for it. It seemed to work okay for a bit, then it started giving strange numbers, and now it constantly gives an error message.

I don't expect it to last forever, but my last scale under $30 lasted eight years. I'd have liked to get at least a few years of use out of it. I wouldn't buy a Taylor again.
