Great headset and speakers - Reviewed on 2008-08-25

I was a little worried about this headset, but after giving it a try I am very impressed. It is great for laptops and desktops alike, and the sound is very clear and flawless except for a few strange but very minor anomalies.

I just took it on a trip and used it for around 15 hours, in 5-6 hour periods, and other than my glasses digging into my ears, they were very comfortable. They worked very well with all movies I used them with.

The microphone is great, and works very well in all games and recording.

Overall, I highly recommend this product to anyone who would like an all in one solution so you don't need speakers.

I bought this headset to play World of Warcraft and oh what an improvement over my separate headphones and mic. The sound was suprisingly good and I got no complaints when I spoke. I actually came out very clear. I had an issue in XP when I switched between the headset and my speakers where there would be no sound but when I switched to a Vista machine I had no problems. I had it for a couple of months then there was no sound coming out of one side. I probably could have used the warranty but I didn't really care since I stopped playing WoW and don't use the headset anymore. It was probably my fault anyhow being rough and careless with it. If you are like me and tend to pull the wires a lot by accident go find a wireless one.

This is a great headset. I haven't had a chance to test out the mic yet but it is insanely comfortable to wear and it sounds great. I didn't need to install any drivers, it did everything automatically. Unlike many other headsets, the comfort level remains the whole time you wear it (it won't give you a headache after a couple of hours wearing it).
A GREAT headset that sounds and feels great. - Reviewed on 2008-05-27

After using other headsets for an extended period of time, this headset not only sounds great, but feels great to wear. I use a Mac and it works flawlessly with WoW and Ventrilo and and was very simple to setup. I have also used this to setup and work within GarageBand for recording sound and PodCasts.

Simply stated, a GREAT product!

The GameComPro 1 is a great, mid-range cost headset for PC users seeking to get the most bang for their buck. I have tested it fully with Windows XP and Vista, with the speakers and microphones working well on both systems thanks to the built-in software. I have also confirmed that the sound works in Ubuntu Linux, and though I have not yet tested the microphone, the system was able to detect it.
The sound is excellent, and opponents on multiplayer games commented on how crisp my voice was through the microphone. The headset also works well with Skype and Ventrilo.
As for comfort, this headset does surprisingly well. Having been used to the soft comfort of the ear-enclosing headphones of the Philips SBC HP170, I was impressed that the GameComPro 1's (which do NOT enclose your ears) are able to swivel to accommodate different head shapes. The band connecting the earphones is very flexible and durable - I have ripped the headphones off of my head many times in a rush, but it has not broken or deformed at all. This flexibility allows the headset to sit on your head without pressing in on your ears, which is a problem among many other headsets.
Perhaps the most impressive feature is the ability to rotate the microphone in and out of place, and it will stay locked in any position of that rotation thanks to a high friction coefficient.
This headset is great, and well worth the mid-range cost.
