Editorial Reviews and Product Descriptions

Product Description

How much stuff can you stack on a mule before he starts kicking? This Buckaroo game answers that question with hilarious and hair-raising results. All you have to do is stack plastic equipment, such as saddles, shovels, blankets and more, on a plastic mule. When the mule starts kicking, the game is over. There are 3 skill levels to the game and it is easy to set up. For ages 4 yrs. and up. Made of plastic. Imported.

Other side of the coin (but still a piece of junk) - Reviewed on 2008-09-05

We got this for our daughter when she was 6 and she was so excited. While so many said it never bucks, ours bucked if you breathed on it. The first time we set it up, she was just about to put a piece on, hadn't even gotten within 3 inches and it bucks - Loudly. It scared her, but we tried it again, this time with my husband doing it. He barely touched it when it bucked. This happened repeatedly, it was no fun at all because no one could ever get anything on the horse before it was bucking. It wasn't all that easy to reset into the starting position either. What a waste, this game is a stinker.

We got this game as a gift and the tension was high as we loaded buckaroo with more an more items. Finally we ran out of items and he still didn't buck. We tried increasing the sensitivity, but it still didn't work. We threw out the toy. It is in a landfill or has been burned for electricity by now.

I read the reviews others posted about this game before purchasing it. Most said that Buckaroo wouldn't buck no matter how heavy the load or how sensitive the game setting. I should have listened. This game was on clearance for around $5, so I figured what the heck? Well, five bucks down the drain and one worthless game later, I've learned my lesson. Buckaroo doesn't buck unless your 3-year-old drop kicks him across the living room. My son spent over 30 min. loading Buckaroo up with the included "supplies", and then he threw in some HotWheels and Thomas trains to boot. No bucking. I gave it 3 stars for durability only...after being kicked across the room several times, Buckaroo is still in one piece. Don't waste even $1 on this one... :(

We recently got the Buckaroo game and like other reviewers said, the thing would not buck. After some time I figured that it was user error. Since this thing has to be assembled, I did not push the back in all the way. Since the back acts as the switch, it would not go off easily. After we fixed it, things worked just fine. It does not take too long to play and on some days, that's not a bad thing.

My three year old loves horses, so this was a game she has wanted for some time now. The sale price was right, so into my cart it went. She has mastered setting the spring that makes him buck and loves to play the game. She can even play it by herself. The only problem I have is the horse is in two parts. To put him back in the origonal box you have to take him apart, therefore she needs help putting the toy away when she is done playing.
