With the Sonic Complete toothbrush, you can choose from multiple brushing modes for a customized clean. Using sonic technology, you can effectively remove plaque, gently stimulate your gums and naturally whiten your teeth.

Oral B has the clinical proof to back up their claims about the power of the Sonic Complete system. According to clinical studies, use the toothbrush twice daily to:

  • Help improve the health of your teeth and gums
  • Effectively remove plaque without irritating gums
  • Reverse gingivitis for firmer, healthier gums
  • Whiten your teeth 25 percent better than Sonicare Elite by removing more coffee, tea, and tobacco stains
The Sonic Complete S-340 system has a number of great features that make it a powerful solution for oral health. First, multiple brushing modes-- clean, soft and massage-- offer you a customized clean that targets the needs of your entire mouth. Next, two types of bristles help provide maximum cleaning power. The "CrissCross" bristles are angled to reach deep and clean between teeth, while "Power Tip" bristles are longer to reach more difficult spots. There's also a professional timer that indicates when the recommended two-minute brushing time has been reached. The timer signals every 30 seconds, encouraging a complete cleaning of the four quadrants of your mouth. The Sonic Complete toothbrush also features great battery life from its internal rechargeable battery-- up to two weeks under normal, twice-daily use. Lastly, the toothbrush is compatible with Sonic Complete brushhead refills.

The Sonic Complete S-340 comes with the following items:

  • Oral B Hummingbird power flosser
  • Oral B Rembrandt whitening toothpaste
  • Two Oral-B Sonic Complete brushheads
  • Charger stand with refill storage
  • Deluxe travel case

Good but older style of electric brush - Reviewed on 2008-12-12

I've been using the Sonic Complete (with rectagular vibrating brush head) for 2-3 years now. It is a definite improvement over the various manual toothbrushes I used before. But from further discussion with the hygiene-ist, I think perhaps the newer models with round and rotating brush heads do an even better job. The cost of this one had been large enough, I decided not to change right now.

I'm also a little disappointed that replacement brush heads are so costly. I use them longer than packaging recommends. Overall, because of the improved cleaning results, I can report I'm glad to be using this electric toothbrush.
Nice toothbrush, poor battery life - Reviewed on 2008-03-27

I don't have any complaints about the performance of this toothbrush. I was happy with it until the rechargeable battery gave out 2 years and 4 months after buying it. Seems it should last longer for almost one hundred dollars. I called oral-b. They basically said to buy a new one. You cannot replace the battery. They did not come across very friendly when I spoke with them.
Finally a TRUE difference maker toothbrush - Reviewed on 2005-12-27

I saw the advertisement and I decided to check this out. Didn't realize how quite expensive it was, but I decided to take a chance and boy am I am glad. Totally worth the purchase price. My teeth feels cleaner, look brighter and my mouth seems fresher. I even smile more after the use of this product and I am one to never smile. It feels as if you are getting a professional cleaning everytime you use it. Not only does this thing brushes your teeth, it polishes them also. I am actually going to purchase another one so I can have one at home and one at work. Also, for famillies, all you have to do is buy more heads because everyone can use this. And this thing is totally pain free, in fact it tickles your mouth, but you will most certainly look forward to brushing. The three speeds are very nice, plus if you follow the directions and brush in quarters, it has a bit of a hesitation to let you know when to move onto the next quarter. I find this very useful if you never had proper instructions on brushing. This is, in my opinion a life changing and habit changing product.

I got the Oral-B Sonic Complete at my dentist from some kind of mail-in free trial promotion (get a charged handle and brushhead that will last 2 weeks for free) so I gave it a try.

It does make brushing easier but I haven't really noticed a difference in how my mouth feels afterwards--if anything it doesn't feel as clean but that might be just how I am used to manual brushing. Who knows? It's not truly sonic--it's really just a faster (though it has 3 speeds so not really) power toothbrush. TRUE sonic speeds wouldn't even shake/vibrate the bristles!

If you can get one of these free from your dentist, you can just go to [...] and order a charger for $12. ;) You can even order the handles ($46), brushheads ($9 each but cheaper on eBay), and even a travel case there, too. (Why does this thing cost ~$100 in stores??)

Now if I can only find a manual for it...if you have one (or if you wouldn't mind scanning it and, perhaps, creating a PDF file for it--or just the scanned images would suffice if not), please email me at [...]). Thanks!
