Good kits, easy to assemble. I build NAF's and started teaching my grandson. These kits fit the bill.I have very good wood and it costs, so using these as practice, he and make mistakes and I can repair. I'll get more as time goes on. (a friend gave me a bunch of cedar so i dont need any more just yet.) Hell, they are good enough I just might make a few for other kids. O' and did I say they play almost as well as my $500..

This is a nice flute, with surprisingly good sound. Note that if you have very small hands, and small fingers, or if this is for a child, the finger holes may be a problem for some. Also, the black bird on top is something of an eyesore, the first thing I did was remove it, and re-wrap that area with a suede leader strip, and add some beads, which definitely improved the looks of the flute.
Just keep in mind that this is a plastic flute, it is not going to sound like an expensive wooden flute, with that in mind, it is a bargain.

I have several very expensive handmade wooden Native American Flutes. I find that the sound quality of this flute is comparable, and having a flute that you don't have to worry so much about is great! The tone is very consistent, and the flute is quite playable. Since it is a six-hole flute it is much more versitile than the 5-hole versions offered by many manufacturers.
