Editorial Review

There’s no one in the world busier than babies and toddlers. But even the most curious and active little explorer may have met their match with this entertaining two-sided play house. On the "outdoor" side, there are doorbell chimes, a rolling garden display, a flower that grows, a mailbox for letters, a sun and moon dial, and more. "Indoor" features include a light switch and a singing clock. There are 21 songs, all of which are easily heard, electronic, and activated by touching, tweaking, or pulling parts of the play set. Our favorite component involved dropping balls down a water spout to hear the itsy-bitsy spider song. --Charlie Williams

Great for a 6 Month Old - Reviewed on 2009-01-04

We bought our learning home for our 6 month old boy for Christmas. Putting it together was a task as the SCREWS WERE TAPED TO THE INSIDE of the box, we looked for them for an hour on Christmas night before we saw them. No-where in the manual does it say where the screws are. I was relieved when I found them, but was ready to just give up, but as it was Christmas I was eager to put it together or I might not have notived them taped way down on the inside of the box. This was probably the most aggrivating thing about the toy. He loves it though and it is very durable with a 6 month old, HOWEVER my 14 month old niece does come visit and it likes to be unstable with her. and she weighs around a petite 23 lbs for a 14 month old. So I am always cautious when they are playing, My son is already trying to pull up at 6 months so I am very weary of this being that sturdy for him to do so, but so far has been okay with him. It does say the most cutest things and is very educational in my opinion. It teaches cause and effect very well, as well as opposites, songs, and basic things and actions around the home.
Many toys in one - Reviewed on 2008-12-31

While the size of the box scared us, the toy is long and tall but not that wide. This is good for space issues. This is like having 20 toys in one. There are so many activities to keep our 1 year old interested. The sound is great on everything. The play light is very interetsing for her. She and the cat like to walk through the door. Great toy. Shop around since the price fluctuates greatly. We paid about $90 including tax and shipping.

I bought this for my 9 month old twins, and they both love it. At first they were only interested in the 3 balls and the mail letters, but now at 10 months they love ringing the doorbell, playing with the radio buttons, throwing the balls down the spout, and exploring the whole house. Other kids who come to our house love it too, even our friends' 3 year old and 5 year old enjoyed playing with it.
The price here is messed up though! Waaaay too high!
My Daugher LOVES This Toy! - Reviewed on 2008-10-18

I saw this toy when researching what to get my daughter for her first birthday. I also saw the Learning Kitchen. I wanted to get her both, but it just wasn't something we could do based on the price of both toys, so we decided to buy her the kitchen (which is also amazing!). A few weeks later we were at a children's consignment shop and saw this toy for an amazing $15. It was in perfect condition, already put together and had all of the parts with it. From the day we brought it home, my daughter has played with it almost non-stop. She loves the "mail" and mailbox, the lightswitch, opening and closing the door and the window, playing the radio, moving the hands on the clock, flipping through the address book and spinning the sun/moon. It even incorporates other Fisher Price toys, and has a "charger" spot for the Laugh & Learn Learning Phone. We usually set this up with her ride-on toys next to it as a drive way, and put the kitchen behind it. She loves to play with this toy and it really is an excellent choice. Great job, Fisher Price!!
Best Toy We Have Purchased - Reviewed on 2008-10-17

We bought this toy for our son when he was around 7 months old. This was during the time he was crawling and pulling up on everything! He is of the personality that nothing really entertains him for more than 5 minutes (even his leapfrog table that most kids love), but he will play with this toy for quite some time. He is now 10 months old and walking and still plays with this toy every day. It has been a lot of fun watching him learn new things about the toy as he gets older. He loves putting the balls down the shoot and flipping the light switch on and off. I love how sturdy the toy is because my son is constantly pulling up on it and even tries climbing up it. I feel like this toy will continue to be a hit with him until he is a year and a half or so.
