Keeps it at the temperature I like (pleasant temperature) without getting so hot to boil it off or evaporate. Really does work well. Convenient on/off switch and on/off light. I bought this based on the other person's review and now that I received it, agree with everything in that review.

What more could you ask for... a creative and unique way to keep your coffee/tea mug warm throughout the day. The donut-shaped warmer has worked perfectly, keeping coffee at an even ideal temperature (some warmers tend to "cook" the coffee when you get down to the last inch of java, this one hasn't done that). The on/off light is bright, and the power cord was plenty long enough (guessing 4').

Although any standard sized mug fits on the warmer, the Garfield mug that comes with it is well crafted and charming. Even if you're not a huge Garfield fan... the donut warmer is awesome eye candy. This would make a nice gift for any coffee/tea drinker, or for somebody who appreciates unique items on their desk in the workplace. :)
