Awesome album - Reviewed on 2008-04-16

I grew up listening to Fred with Commissioned and his first two solo projects. They were very soulful and urban. I was kind of disappointed when he left commissioned and formed a choir because I knew that would be the end of the urban Fred I'd come to love. So this album takes me back to the Fred I use to love. You've still got those choir, praise songs in there. But it's nice to hear fred do his own bgvs again.
So if you love commissioned, and Fred's first two solo projects, then this is the album to get. Though this one has mainly a Neo-Soul feel to it. He even has the Neo-Soul artist, Musiq on two tracks. But all in all, very good album.

Brother Fred never disappoints. This is a good one to listen to when you just wanna cool out or maybe you're feeling a little down. You will feel better and be bobbin your head in no time.
Not his best, but my favorite Fred Hammond CD - Reviewed on 2008-01-12

Even three of four years later, this CD has become timeless. Celebrate (He Lives!) sets the album off and there is quality throughout from the jazzy Just A Closer Walk to the personal Find A Way to the end track Your Name Is Jesus with the Straight Gate Mass Choir, and every track in between. Even the average tracks (And there are less on this disc than any of the others) still help this album flow smoothly from beginning to end. Not just good contemporary gospel, but good, enjoyable music, period. The blueprint for a contemporary gospel disc that only Kirk Frankin's Hero and Deitrick Haddon's Crossroads followed to a tee.

This is a wonderful gift for all but especially to a younger generation that loves God. I would recommend this cd as one of his best after the Pages of Life.
