6 year old loves it - Reviewed on 2008-01-07

It was a little tricky for my 6 year old at first, but she quickly figured out how to do it herself. There are no batteries or wires. Regarding the fastener beads falling out, if you make sure the fastener beads click twice, they stay until you pull them out. If you only click them closed once, they will fall out. My daughter loves it.

im a 12 year old girl and ive had this since i was 8. it still works!!!!! ive lost all the original beads, but it isnt hard to find other beads that fit the thing. the clips it came with sucked, so i use twist ties instead. i still bead my hair and love it!!! this is nice because unlike the conair beader, threr are no messy cords to deal with. i wish the cartridge would hold more beads, but i still love this product.

I bought this to try to keep my daughter's hair under control in a way that she would enjoy, but I couldn't get it to work if I used more than 2-3 beads on it - the hair just wouldn't go through the beads. When I got an EXTREMELY thin strand, I could get beads on, but the clip and beads would just fall off then. I'm now looking at the Conair brand one, because I still like the idea...

My name is Gianna and I am 11 years old currently living in Canada. I have been reading about this item and there are many reviews that are negative. I was shopping for another item until I saw this item for sale. I bought the item and tried it by myself without parent supervision. It made my hair look great. At first, I was afraid that this item would be bad as some people say but I opened it and took a chance. Some people say it sucks because they handle it wrong. You have to go slowly.....or maybe this was just luck!

When I was using the hair beader, I did a few beads in my hair and then on the last bead I was going to put in, it broke. My mom pushed and pushed but the beads wouldn't go on my hair. I was so disappointed. I am six.
