We used this shredder at home, just to shred credit card offers etc; that come in the mail. It would often get very hot and stop working if we tried to shred more than 4-5 things in a row. Then, after less than 1 year of use it just completely stopped working. I would expect it to hold up a lot better considering we were only shredding junk mail!

This shredder has been a great value for me. I've never had a problem with it, and it's very convenient to use. You have to watch the sheet count you're sending through, or the papers will get stuck.

Bought 1 month ago. Works fine and had no issues so far.
Price is reasonable for the product, but you can find something cheaper at Target.

We are happy with this shredder. It's fairly quiet and easy to operate and does the job. Perhaps the people who had trouble with it didn't follow the directions -- 2 minutes on and 4 minutes off and no more than 10 sheets of 20 lb. paper at a time. It's also recommended not to leave staples in the paper. If you need a heavy duty shredder and don't have the patience to follow these instructions, this isn't the shredder for you. Otherwise it's a great little shredder for lightweight use.

The basket it comes with is rather small for my needs, although the shredder is actually not as small for my needs as you might think for the size basket it comes with!! It's a very strong and durable little shredder!!
