I bought this for my granddaughter who is in second grade. She has found the game fun, but quite challenging and occasionally frustrating at times. It has multiplication in it, which surprised me, as I did not think they did that in 2nd grade! Also, the game has prefixes and suffixes; also something I did not think they got to at this grade level. However, she IS learning, and generally having a good time doing so, and that is why I choose Leapster products!

My granddaughter loves the 2nd Grade Leapster "game". Not really a game, since it is based on the 3 R's but she says it makes learning fun. She is very bright (aren't all grandchildren) but is often bored in school. My son says that this has helped her tremendously and that she now relates her school work to her Leapster. Not a bad thing when you consider that her generation is all about electronics. I will definitely buy one for my other granddaughter when she is ready for this level.

My son really enjoys this game. He got five for Christmas and this is his second favorite after Batman.

When i checked it out at first i thought it was just a gameboy type rival, but there's lots of learning going on!

Great for a child who is comfortably in Second Grade. For gifted it will not last long -- after two weeks my son is on the last level. But he still finds it more fun than the gameboy games and opts for it over his Gameboy or computer games when given his free time.

MY 7 year old daughter got this game for christmas along with the leapster game system and she doesn't seem to like this game as much as the rest of the games she has, why I'm not sure I havn't played this one myself, but there's a spongebob game that she likes much better, this one hasn't kept her interest as long as the spongebob game.

My daughter who is 6 and my son who is 7 LOVES this game! They like the idea that education can be fun. They ask for this system more than there game boy and believe me that is alot! lol It teaches things like suffixes and double digit math, and lots more. Lots of fun! When they start playing they don't want to stop...
