pretty good item - Reviewed on 2007-03-27

I actually gave this item 4 stars but somehow it reverted back to the 1-star. The sleeping bag is very comfortable and warm. A little tight for two average adults. The bag is a PIECE OF WORK getting it back into it's sleve. I gave up and now use the pouch for my single sleeping bag ... which is nice because the pouch has 2 sholder straps.

This thing is huge, my wife and I had no problems staying comfortable - the bag is so big it takes a little while to warm up from body heat, but once warm - you never want to get out! Two reasons I didn't give it 5 stars was the zipper was not the really big one you see on high quality bags and the stuff sack could have been a touch bigger to make it easier to repack. In spite of those drawbacks, I would still recommend it for the price to friends.

I purchased this bag a few weeks ago. When it arrived I was very pleased with the quality and a stuff sack that wasn't mentioned in the description. First of all, it is BIG, the only place I want to carry it is from the car to the tent. It completely covers a full size bed in width and is quite a bit longer. I wanted a large bag for camping because I always feel cramped in my Wildcat II even though it's 39"X 80" or so, I'm always running into the bottom of the bag with my feet and becoming restricted all over during the night when turning from side to side. On my last campout this bag (Guide Gear Moose) was wonderful, lots of room and toasty warm (low 40's outside). I love almost everything about it. The only negative I can find is the draw strings for the draft collar and hood should be made with a thicker diameter strings. Overall it's an excellent value and I love it.
UPDATE 9/3/06 Have used it for almost a year and still love it as much, if not more - great LARGE sleeping bag. Couldn't be happier.
