This huge knife block will hold just about every knife you have or wish to have. It is a very handsome addition to my kitchen. I love it.

I was very happy with this item when it arrived. Given how convenient these are, and how long they will last with a little care, it's worth the price! This is the first unit we were able to find that could hold our entire steak knife set, along with our Joyce Chen cleaver.

I love a block with this many slots, especially eight steak knives instead of six. The swivel is not at all necessary although it doesn't cause any problems either. The block is deep, so you need the space for it; I set mine into the back closed corner of the counter space and it works nicely there. The block is built with high quality and does not put marks on my counter if moving it around like some do. I received it in a very timely manner after ordering with lots of feedback.

When we received the knife block it had a deep crack on the bottom and was missing one of its legs. The company emailed us a return shipping label and we took it to a local UPS dealer and sent it back. Within about 10 days a replacement arrived. It says it is oak and while it is a light natural wood it does not look like the natural oak we have. Having had difficulty finding a knife block the size and color wood we wanted we settled for this one.

We had our kitchen gutted and completely redone. I built a knife holder to use in a drawer. Now, with the Wusthof 25-slot, I have removed my home-made holder. The drawer can be used to store other items. I can fit a huge assortment of the knives we have been using for several years. There is no need to buy a lot of new knives. Just use a sharpener and keep those old friendly knives. Having the knives up on the countertop makes them much more accessible and therefore easier to select and use. You can't go wrong with this super storage block.
