Description

It’s a blast from the past when BANDIT KEITH returns from exile and steals YUGI’s Millennium Puzzle! If YUGI wants it back, he must duel BANDIT KEITH all by himself! Can Yugi survive without the help of his friends or the spirit living inside the Millennium Puzzle? BANDIT KEITH decimates YUGI’s monsters with new and powerful ultra rare cards! Has BANDIT KEITH increased his dueling skills exponentially, or is he under the spell of a much more powerful villain? Either way, if Bandit Keith defeats YUGI, the mental bond between YUGI and the spirit inside the Millennium Puzzle will be severed forever! The origin of Duel Monsters is revealed! With the magic of the Millennium Necklace, Egyptian game historian ISHIZU ISHTAR reveals that thousands of years ago, a trio of legendary monsters named OBELISK THE TORMENTOR, SLIFER THE SKY DRAGON, and THE WINGED DRAGON OF RA brought Earth to the brink of extinction! In present times, the sinister MARIK and his RARE HUNTERS, a shadowy sect more powerful than Pegasus, are gathering these monsters to conquer Earth! Can YUGI and KAIBA stop this new menace before the world plunges into anarchy?

The Egyptian Mystery - Reviewed on 2007-06-27

The Duelist Kingdom season was simply fantastic, and if you liked it, you'll definetely love the Battle City Duels season. Basically, after the whole Pegasus episodes, Yugi receives a new challenge in Kaiba's tpurnament. Allow my episode summaries to fill in the gaps:

1) THE MYSTERY DUELSIT: PART I -- A mysteries fortune teller with a cape steals Yugi's Millennium Puzzle and challenges Yugi to a duel to win it back.

2) THE MYSTERY DUELSIT: PART II -- After having unmasked the fortune teller, Yugi must escape from a deadly fire that tputs everything at stake!

3) THE PAST IS PRESENT -- Ishizu, a Egyptian woman who holds the Millennium Necklace, takes Kaiba back into the past to show him how Duel Mosters was played. However, Kaiba also learns Yugi's "true" identity, and their unexpected connection.

4) STEPPIN' OUT -- (This is episode is not really connected to the season) Yugi duels a dancer with a music-based deck.

This seson heavily focuses on Egypt, so it's not something you see on everyday anime (plus, the theme song rocks)! I definetely recommend this product to ANYONE who likes a good show. I suggest seeing the episodes from Yu-Gi-Oh - The Complete First Season before seeing these because this is Season Two (but it won't hurt you if you haven't watched Season One before this). Please see my review of the next Season Two episodes in Yu-Gi-Oh!: Season 2, Vol. 2 - Obelisk the Tormentor.

From Part 1 episode 150: An Arcane fortune teller steals the Millennium Puzzle and Yugioh must defeat him in a duel to win it back. However, this is no ordinary soothsayer; he's a familiar and formidable foe from Duelist Kingdom... or is he? Can Yugi beat him all alone with out the help of his friends or the spirit inside the Puzzle?

Part 2 Episode 151: The mysterious menace controlling Bandit Keith shatters the Millieum Puzzle into pieces before setting the dueling arena ablaze. Can yugioh put the Millennium Puzzle back together and save the spirit before the entire room is engulfed in flames?

THE PAST IS THE PRESENT: EPISODE 152 The origin of Duel Monsters is evealed! Using the magic of the Millennium Necklace, Egyptian historian Ishizu Ishtar shows Kaiba how Duel Monsters was played millenniums ago! The ancient games have resurrected in modern times along with three almighty beast of unstoppable devastion- THE EGYPTION GOD MONSTERS!

STEPPIN' OUT EPISODE 153: The spirt of the Millennium Puzzle relizes that his memories of ancient Egypt have failed, but Tea is going to help him uncover the mysteries of his past! However their cearch is interrupted by the dancing duelist Jonny Steps and his musical Monsters of rock!

Of the four episodes, I like THE PAST IS PRESENT. It gives a history how the game were played in ancient Egypt. They used stone tablets instead of cards and this episode really connects with the games history and brings it all into the present and Kaiba obsession to possess all thre God cards.

In this Yu-Gi-Oh DVD at most of the end of the show where Summoned Skulls arms being choped off in the Japanese Version it is better. Because their isn't that glowy thing, I mean what is that suppose to be? Green Blood? Any ways in every Japanes Yu-Gi-Oh DVD their is always vilonce in the episodes and secnes that where not suppose to be in the US episodes.
