This burner is amazing at heating/boiling water/wort for extract brewing. Its burner is much more efficient than those blowtorch-style burners you see for less. The pot stand does a great job of holding my 20qt kettle in place filled with water. The stand, wind guard, and portability of this burner makes for a great purchase.

I'm am more than impressed with the Eastman products, and found this burner to be everything advertised and more. I've been frying turkeys and other assorted food-stuffs, including, unfortunately, the occasional bits of myself, for over ten years. I currently own 5 burners of various makes and breeds, and this one exceeds the specs of the older models in my fleet.
When I opened the box, I was a little skeptical, as I have been using solid weld systems from the beginning, and anything with screws, nuts and bolts, especially at these temperatures leaves me a wee bit nervous. Not to worry. While I haven't put this unit to one of my extreme tests, a marathon turkey fry where we'll do as many as ten birds back-to-back, it shows no sign of weakness or stress.
The actual burner is one of the best I've used. I am quite impressed with the stability of the assembly and the built-in windscreen is a nice feature. Some of my older units have only one thin screw holding the burner in place. The Eastman has three solid screws that provide a steady platform. At full bore, I was able to bring 20 quarts of water to a full boil in about 10 minutes - pretty good throughput.
Assembly was fairly easy and almost intuitive. It does pay to read the directions, but those die-hards who want to figure it out for themselves should only have to backtrack two or three times.
All-in-all, I am quite pleased with the product and will probably be replacing the rest of my burners with Eastman products.

This is also an excellent item for home beer brewers. On high, this burner will bring 5 gallons of water from 59 degrees F to boiling in less than 15 minutes. It will turn down low enough to keep your wort at a low boil, and the efficient burner design uses less propane than the "jet" style burners. The overall construction is very sturdy. I use a converted 15.5 gallon keg as a boil pot, the weight of the keg plus 10 gallons of wort is right at 115 pounds. This unit has no trouble supporting the weight, and is very stable. This is the same burner as the Big Kahuna, but the legs on the Big Kahuna don't look nearly as strong as these, plus this burner is much cheaper.

We needed to boil two or three gallons of water quickly for an outfitter camp and the Eastman brings on the BTUs! The great thing is the regulator which allows you to simmer as well as blast. Great product!
