Ideal for those on a low-fat diet, this non-aerosol mister adds a light coating of oil to salads or fish for flavor or lightly oils a baking pan or grill, greatly reducing the amount of fats used for cooking. The spray mister can also be used for spritzing plants or yourself with water or spraying windows with a vinegar-and-water cleaning solution. To use, pump the lid a few times over the spray valve to draw fresh air into the SprayPump and to create a build-up of internal pressure. Press on the valve and the SprayPump releases a fine mist. This spray mister’s frosted polycarbonate exterior allows you to see how much oil is in the SprayPump and is resistant to breaking, cracking, or peeling. --Cristina Vaamonde

Exploding mist pump - AVOID at all costs. - Reviewed on 2006-07-05

Seemed like a good idea -- but the very first time I filled it with oil and started pumping it (about 10 times), it exploded. The entire bottom of the canister exploded open and blew off, covering every square inch of my kitchen (including the ceiling) with oil. It will take days to clean up the mess -- plus the closthes I was wearing are totally ruined. The kitchen will also need to be repainted. I can't believe a company is selling a product this dangerous and defective. Avoid this product at all costs.

Within a week the bottom exploded out with a BOOM spraying olive oil all over the kitchen and scaring the #$%! out of me.
