Editorial Reviews and Product Descriptions

Amazon.com Product Description

This compact, durable flashlight gives you extra flexibility thanks to the combination of lighting options. If you want a longer run time (up to 28 hours), use the LEDs. If you want a blindingly bright beam, use the xenon bulb. Switching between modes is easy via a simple push-button switch. This light is built to endure abuse, too. The case is constructed of machined aluminum with an anodized finish, and the bulbs are protected by an unbreakable polycarbonate lens. The flashlight is O-ring sealed for water-resistance. Two 3-volt lithium batteries and removable lanyard included.--Josh Dettweiler

Wow, streamlight has definately come through on this one. This flashlight is unbelievable for its size. I like the long shelf life of lithium, and the cold operating temps, but the batteries are a bit pricy. Good thing it works for 2.5 hours on xenon, and 28 hours on LED. I only use it around the house...works great for this. I would recommend this flashlight to anyone.

This flashlight is extremely versatile, long battery life and very bright. I like the LED function for when I would prefer less light. I like being able to see my way with less light when I am attempting a recon mission, but like even more, being able to drown the area in light when I need it. I only wish the switch was a two way instead of three way. Right now it's Bright/LED/Bright then off. I wish they would do away with the last incadescent bulb flash. It makes shutting the light off in a hurry, difficult.

I got this light in Iraq and then brought it along for a second tour as well, it held up great. The lower power light on this gives you good battery life, however even on the highest setting this doesn't really compare to the pelican lights we were issued. I'd use this as a backup to my pelican/surefire or just to have on base as a "garrison" flashlight. Hope this helps.

I purchased this light last week to use for investigations. The light is built like a tank. The pushbutton switch is a little annoying, as other reviewers have mentioned. The focus is pretty lame; the dimpled surface of the reflector prevents any real collimation of the Xenon beam. One of the LED's on my light works only intermittantly. It goes out and one has to whack the side of the light to get it to come back on. The light only has about 8 hours on it. I have yet to take it apart to fix the apparent loose connection. I'm glad I didn't pay more.
Lots of light, lots of clicks - Reviewed on 2006-03-01

This has been a great little, extremely bright and durable flashlight. The light is well built, feels substantial and comfortable to hold and the adjustments are firm and positive. One of the first things I did, however was to remove the wrist strap from the base of the light so that there is nothing flopping around. It takes one click to turn on the very bright Xenon bulb, another to switch to three LED's, another to switch back to the Xenon and then FINALLY another click to off! That is just way too much clicking. Good light at $30.00.
