Simply Calphalon Stainless Collector's Edition 11-Inch Deep Skillet with Cover

Stainless steel cookware is not my favorite cookware, cast Iron is, but I have hemmochromatosis and don't need the extra iron from the castware. I found this skillet to heat very quickly and evenly, as good as cast. One bit of caution, use plenty of oil as like any stainless steel it will stick. As far as steaming vegtables, and such things, it's great and I always season it with a bit of oil after steaming and cleaning. It was well worth my money and health for it.

I just bought this pan at Ross for $28.99. It seems to be solidly constructed, and the finish is very nice.

The ten year warranty is voided after dishwasher use only with Calphalon's hard anodized cookware, not the stainless. Read your instructions again, and really you should be washing your pans by hand anyway. I just purchased the pan today, and have only cooked one egg (over medium, perfect!)in it as a test. Turning was a little difficult because of the deep sides, but I bought it primarily as a stirfry pan anyway. All in all, a very nice pan for the price (so far).

I purchased this product line in a retail store. The packaging clearly states it is dishwasher safe. Then after you unpack it, and read that if you put it in the dishwasher you void the ten year warranty! Do not make the same mistake I did, avoid this product.
