As a remote property owner, one tool I highly recommend investing in is the Deluxe Freeze Alarm. It is the perfect low cost protection device to defend your property against damaging temperature changes. It is the ideal protection tool against prolonged power outages. One of the nicer features is that it can easily preheat or cool down property prior to one's arrival. Easy to install, it allows property owners to make important changes to environmental conditions via a cell phone or land line.

Important features include;

1) An accurate current temperature reading, power status, back up battery status check via one simple phone call

2) The system can be programmed to call automatically up to 3 phone numbers if conditions change

3) It monitors both hot and cold temperatures in celsius and fahrenheit

4) Plugs into any electrical outlet & has a 9 volt battery backup

5) It operates off of a password protected security code

6) Comes with a brief information form for ordering both the flooding and motion alarms. (These are not included)

Overall, I have been more then pleased with this outstanding product. Another benefit ist that because I have this product installed, I receive an additional discount on my property insurance. The Deluxe Freeze Alarm has more then paid for itself. It simply does the job.

Works great. I own a vacation home in Maine and it is peace of mind to know that I can call my telephone number and know what the temperature is in the house.

Product set-up instructions were easy to follow, albeit a bit complex.

Only negative is the product exterior design. Device aesthetics make one want to hide in a closet or storage space, not in view. However, to view indicator lights, the device should be in a visible location.

Product performed as advertised. Installation and set-up were very user friendly. Less than 2 weeks after installing, I was notified of a power outage and was able to remotely monitor the temperature while the lines were being repaired. Lithium Battery seems like a must. I plan to add a remote water sensor prior to spring to ensure the basement sump pump is working properly.
