I for one liked 3LW when they came out...but then again I was about 14 and so everyone my age was into them. Then, as I got older and said "this is not my scene" I heard them singing hook on the new Naughty by Nature song (new at the time) and said "damn, these girls grew up...and got even hotter" and so when they dropped this album I picked it up, expecting the same ol same ol, but some inpressive pictures inside of the new slut look these diva's were going for. Yes, I bought the CD for the pictures...but what I got were so average pictures and some above average tracks. Starting things off on the right foot with 'I Do' the girls show you the mold they want to fit...they want that r&b/pop market...you know...the Beyonce market. The album sports killer dance tracks like 'Put Em Up' featuring Naughty by Nature and my personal favorite 'Leave Wit You' which single handedly takes the girls from Disney to Playboy, as well as slower tracks like 'Ghetto Love and Heartbreak' and 'Ain't No Maybe' as well as killer guest apperances by Lil Wayne (the man of the moment) on 'Neva Get Enuf' and Lil' Kim (obviously an idol of the girls) on 'I Need That' which is an ode to the materialistic mentality. Anyways, the album is actually tight, with great beats, and no matter what you say Adrienne can sing...I mean, she has a beautiful voice. Keily (the annoying 'I wish I were Left Eye' of the group) raps a few times, but few is good and when she's not rapping you can't tell she's on the CD. Natura, who has an amazing soulful voice as well, is hard to hear as well beings that shortly before the release of the CD she left the group and so her vocals were cut back drastically. Adrienne might as well have dropped Keily too and just put out a solo CD...which brings me to the complaint of 'what the hell were you thinking starting the Cheetah Girls!'...I mean, Adrienne could have had a good thing had she went solo and continued the sluttified look that she had so mastered (although I saw in interview that she's getting a bit chunky now) Anyways, this is a hot CD...and should be owned by any fan of the Beyonce nation. Forget that these girls weren't yet legal and relish in that such hot chicks are singing about giving it to you...ha
