The other DVD (On the Door's) is probable better but it was good to hear the comments from the surviving door's and Danny Sugerman. The music will always last. (They were a great goup.) They are probably the most underrated group and band. I would rank them in the top 3 ever!

This is a great CD of the Doors. The 2 songs at the end are live in concert and I was hoping there would be more, but even so, it is very good. If you are a Doors fan, you will enjoy this one.

Ladies and Gentlemen,

I would not be the person I am today had it not been for this band. Therefore, one can rest assured I am an authority when it comes to a review of this material. I discovered some type of meaning and naked truth in the music, and I can tell you right now it is catured live in this dvd. It is absolutely fantastic. If you buy any DVD about this band, buy this and "Live at the Hollywood Bowl" to capture how they were in concert.

Enjoy the words. The words, Man.

I had seen The Doors on YouTube in two performances done for Danish TV & I really wanted to get those & finally learned they were on this DVD. The two songs I absolutely loved were When the Music is Over and Unknown Soldier - both of these performances are so precise & flawless they are awesome! You really get a good look at Jim Morrison - who appears totally in control & clear eyed - and the singing and instruments blend together to create beautiful music. Back Door Man was another good one. The copy of the Soft Parade on this DVD is not good however, there is a much better clearer version of it on The Doors Collection DVD which I recommend highly, which also contains some neat extras (Ray's UCLA student films, portion of Densmore's one-act play, Robbie's new version of The End) And if you'd like a look at Ray & Robbie's existing band (now Riders on the Storm) check out The Doors of the 21st Century LA Woman Live DVD - it's AWESOME, from a concert done in 8/2003 in Wantagh, NY with Ian Astbury singing- though no one's voice can replace Morrison's - some of the songs just belong to him & The Doors w/o question. I only wish John Densmore was still playing with them - his drums are missed!
Must have for Doors fans. - Reviewed on 2006-05-27

Although all of the concert footage can be seen on other DVD's, the insight from the surviving members of the band make this film worth buying. The band members speak about individual songs and also build up each preformance with behind the scenes stories concerning each show. An excellent Doors video.
