Uncooperative FBI agents and bureaucrats will not deter the driven young prosecutor. Her quest culminates in the memorable and controversial trial of a Mafia boss and the principles that govern their lives.

I bought this months ago at a dvd bargain section at Best Buy & only recently watched it for the first time. I'm a huge fan of mafia movies & books & the plot looked good enough. Lorraine Bracco was excellent in Goodfellas & Sopranos but even she can't save this low-budget tv movie from being a total bomb. The movie is about how Diane Giacalone, the Assistant U.S. Attorney (Bracco), tries to prosecute John Gotti, the "Dapper Don". WARNING SPOILER: Anyone who's read anything about Gotti knows that Gotti wasn't convicted at the trial thanks to a juror being paid off. I wonder why they even bothered making this movie. The script is terrible & some scenes are just plain laughable. And if you thought Tom Sizemore's portrayal of Gotti in Witness to the Mob was over-the-top, you should see Anthony John Denison's insanely ridiculous performance. The music in this is so overdramatic & gets annoying quickly. As far as the dvd goes, there are absolutely no special features, but with a flop like this why bother?!? With the increasing popularity of Sopranos & with Lorraine Bracco on the cover, Artisan wants you to believe that this is worth buying. Trust me, it isn't.I'm afraid there's never going to be realistic movie made about Gotti, although so far Witness to the Mob is probably the most entertaining.
