I love Audiovent! The music is well written and performed. I am an Incubus fan and that is how I first heard of Audiovent but is not the reason why I love them. Too bad they broke up I would have been a fan for years. I love this album.

If you've heard of this band at all you were either playing Madden 2004 or heard it from Brandon Boyd because I don't think their single got enough radio play even though it probably should have. Basically I learned of this band from the Madden 2003 soundtrack and thought the single "The Energy" was extremely powerful. I loved it. It's just one of those tracks you hear and just love it right away. I just had to check out the cd then. After hearing the album numerous times I was glad to find a number of other tracks just as good as the single. My favorites from the album are "The Energy", "I Can't Breathe", "Stalker", and "Back and Forth". Here are the ratings for everything...

It's just a pretty good release by a band that probably could have been more if it would have stuck together. I would probably blame the lack of promotion for this as the real cause behind why it isn't as well known as it should be.

Audiovent is an Alternative Rock band from Calabasas Ca. With its hard rock roots and subtle use of vocal harmony they really set themselves apart from any other band. The album is not much different from their description.

From the beginning with 'The Energy', they start off incredibly. Great guitar riffs and amazing use vocals are just some of the many good things you could say about the song. It completely sets the tone for the album, which makes you long for more.

And for more you don't have to wait much longer, "Rain" follows soon enough. Again this song is more forceful with a stunning chorus that I cannot describe differently, then a pleasure to the ears.

The album does luckily not only contain more fast-paced songs with a rough sound to it, it also contains awesome tracks that just blow harmony in its purest form out of your speakers. "Sweet Frustration" can be named as one of those tracks. With its soft guitar play but still up-tempo and great use of vocals I must say this is definitely one of my favorite tracks of the album.

All in all I believe we can say that 'Dirty Sexy Knights In Paris' is a great album with the music and vocals fitting perfectly together. Audiovent created an awesome debut album, which has made me long for more, and will quite probably make you too.

This band is absolutley amazing!..Jasons pipes are incredible..( The boyd brothers sound almost identical..Brandon being the stronger vocalist)This cd really is one of a kind... every song could be a number one hit! It rocks harder than any cd you'd hear today... Because the music we hear today is crap(well some of it.. I won't mention names)Anyways.. Words cannot descibe this sound... Its indescribable Beautiful music that one should listen to constantly!.. Cheers

Having not listened to Incubus ever, the connections between the musical sounds of Incubus and this band of four, Audiovent is lost on me. I love listening to good and well constructed music. And this album 'Dirty Sexy Knights In Paris' offers both great music and good lyrics. I am surprised that Audiovent didn't come out with a more recent album release but this gem from 2002 is a winner in more ways then one. There are 12 tracks on this CD and 8 of the songs are hits on their own right. 'The Energy' and 'Looking Down' are the two best songs of the album and are openers for the CD. This CD comes with an enhanced section that will work in many PC's. Once there you can download wallpapers or screen savers, see a great picture gallery or simply watch the nice uplifting music video of 'Looking Down'. There is also a weblink link that will take you to more album multimedia on the web.
There are a few other songs that are on their own, great songs like 'Sweet Frustration' possibly the slowest of all the fast songs on this album. 'Gravity' the best lyrics are in this song. 'When I Drown' is also a nice end song for the album and a nice filler too.
