Editorial Reviews and Product Descriptions
Album Description
Saadiq was a member of the top pop group Tony Toni Tone. The singer/writer/producer now strikes out his solo path with this initial "gospeldelic" release. Guest stars include D'Angelo, Angie Stone, T-Boz of TLC and producer/artist Hi-Tek. Includes bonus track "Why".

Underrated Release - Reviewed on 2008-01-17
While nothing ground breaking, it is a nice piece of music to listen to if you are into urban style R&B with a neo-soul feel.
Raphael Saadiq is one of the most underrated artist of our time. From his days in Tony, Toni, Tone until now, he's made music for the art and not for commercial gain (at least it seems that way to me).
The songs that caught me was "Be Here", "You're The One That I Like","Faithful" and the last track on the CD. "Body Parts" is quickly becoming a "bedroom" anthem for me too but is more suggestive than raunchy.
As I said, it wasn't an earth shattering release BUT I think its worth your money. Definitely for couples/lovers but safe enough for kids to listen too. Certainly cleaner than, say, 50 Cent, The Game or Kanye West.
