Amazon.com Review

Tim Leatherman is our hero. Let's face it: if you're into tools, you can't resist an ingenious gadget, and the Leatherman multipurpose tools are the ultimate. The Super Tool in particular is one of our favorites, as it's the biggest, strongest tool Leatherman makes, and it packs just about everything you could want--needle-nose pliers, wood saw, wire stripper, crimper, knives, punch, screwdrivers, file, wire cutter, bottle or can opener, and even a ruler. The tools lock in securely every time and release smoothly and easily. Made of all stainless steel, the Super Tool is backed by Tim Leatherman's 25-year guarantee. You just can't beat this. --Kris Jensen-Van Heste

The best multi tool - Reviewed on 2007-01-09

Couldn't imagine working without one. Used similar products from Gerber and other Leatherman tools, but none quite match up. Everything you need is on this tool. The new Leatherman Xti is also nice, but the phillips screwdriver is almost useless on that tool.

I work setting up networks. This tool is perfect for that job. It's sturdy and reliable and the knifes are the best I seen in a multi-tool like this. Letterman also has a reputation that surpasses Swiss-Army. I used to own a Swiss and it broke on me. The sales-person presented me with this one as the best in the store. It has safety mechanisms, it is just excellent. Feels great in your hand, and it can help you do everything from cutting wires, to wood, meats, fish, etc. More than you ever need in a tool. Weighting at 9 pounds, I found myself using it as a hammer from time to time. Mine came with a small adapter and a standard set of five screw drivers varying from torx to different size Philips and flat. A kit that is upgradeable depending on the heads you need for the job.

All in all, probably more than you ever need, build to last forever, definitely the strongest and best I've ever seen.

The only thing stopping me from getting a Super Tool 200 is the fact that I have a Super Tool already. 7 years of abuse and it still hasn't failed me.

This, an AMP crimp tool, a fluke NetTool and a suitably sized LART are the only tools a network geek needs.

It is entirely possible to install a cisco 12000 series router using only "The Leatherman".

Word of advice: Do not lend anyone your leatherman, they might try and keep it.

The Leatherman Super-Tool 200 is for the most part the finest tool of it's' kind.
It has the largest knife blades, a very secure locking mechanism, the best saw, as well the widest variety of flat screwdriver sizes. It will do just about anything.
The only down side to this tool for me is the needle-nose pliers, not much good for a quick turn on a nut or bolt. But if you only want to carry one tool on your belt, this is the one to have!
Arguably the very best multi-tool out there - Reviewed on 2005-03-17

I've owned SOG, Proto, Gerber and a few other Leathermans but without a doubt, this is the very, very best one that I have used to date. It has heft, a comfortable yet powerful pliers grip that doesn't bite into your palms, backwards compatibilty with the earlier Leatherman accessories, a well-thought-out array of "tools" and a terrific positive lock mechanism that secures the selected "tool" in the open position. The leather case is a bit obtuse for quick access but one quick visit to the Leatherman website and I purchased a ballistic nylon case with velcro closure and a loop for my Mag-Lite AA flashlight. I wear it every day and have reached for it countless times. If you're in the market for a quality big-league multi-tool, do yourself a favor and take a long, hard and close look at this beauty from Leatherman. I don't believe you'll be disappointed.
