I bought this as an accessory for my Dewalt rotary laser to use in setting forms for concrete slabs. This is a well built tripod and the price was good. I priced another brand that was at Home Depot and it was flimsy and cost a few dollars more. I ordered this one from Amazon and was quite pleased with it.

This tripod works perfect with every laser I've used. For those who don't know how to use a laser it would be a pain to adjust the laser beam up and down and up and down...trying to get the laser in a certain spot.
The tripod holds the laser securely and it does a great job. I just got my own after using my boss' for two years. Mine has a little too much grease on the leg clamps and releases if I am not careful. I'm sure that will correct itself when the excess grease is gone.

If you're looking for a tripod, this is it. It has 3 legs.

That's all. You can't adjust the height with any accuracy. A simple elevator crank would've made the thing worth the money, but as it stands, all it does is stand.

If your laser level is too high or low, you're forced into tediously moving each leg, trying to keep it somewhat level as you go, until it's "pretty close".

Good luck using it to mount a bench 40 inches above the ground in your garage. I spent 40 minutes trying to get it just right... and I managed to get it "pretty close". After all that work to get it to the correct height, I'm going to use it to level my bench, then return the thing and buy a camcorder tripod that gets the job done in a reasonable amount of time.

I was pleased with the timeliness of delivery. Minimal damage to packaging.

unlike most items today this tripod comes out of the box completely assembled and ready to use. Less than 10 minutes after opening the box I had my laser level mounted on it, leveled, and in use. One thing that i did not expect was that there is no stopping point for the legs (meaning they will fold all the way out if you want). Thus allowing you to set the tripod fairly low to the ground. The leg adjustment locks are extemely easy to use and the entire unit seems to be made very durable.
