This knife is awesome. It is major sharp and does a number on almost anything from cheese, tomatoes, bread (sandwiches), etc. I love it. You can't beat the Wusthof quality!

I own an 8-inch Wusthof Classic Chef's knife and a 6-inch Cook's knife, but I reach for this smaller, lightweight, serrated knife for many tasks. It's easier to wash, and I do wash it by hand and never put it in the dishwasher. It's terrific for cutting citrus fruit. The label does call it a sausage knife, so the reviewer who mentioned that is correct. I haven't tried it yet on sausage, but I'm sure it will work great for sausage, tomatoes, and narrow bread loaves. I even use it to dice onions. I have no regrets about adding this knife to my collection.

This is one of my kitchen workhorses. Gets almost as much use as my chef's knife and paring knife. I use this for tomatoes, sandwiches, rolls, bagels, slicing oranges, etc. Performs perfectly. It's very sharp and well made. You really only need 3 to 5 knives, even for the most well-equiped kitchen, and in my kitchen this is one of my 5.
