Editorial Reviews and Product Descriptions

Product Description

Oversized and extremely strudy, this garlic press is fully capable of squeezing the life out of garlic cloves or shallots. The little brush does a nice job of clearing away undesirable solids left behind. And when you're all done with it, run this gadget through a dishwasher cycle for thorough cleaning.
Amazon.com Review

Make quick work of chopping garlic cloves with KitchenAid's garlic press--you'll wonder why you ever bothered with those jars of prechopped garlic. Simply insert a clove or two into the well, flip the handles together, and press down firmly--out through the holes comes your freshly chopped garlic. Cleanup's a breeze since nothing sticks to the polished stainless steel, and the handy brush quickly pushes out any garlic still stuck in the holes. You won't want to lose this little brush, so for storage, simply clip the brush to the press mechanism and fold the press closed. --Maile Rehbock

Not as sturdy as it looks - Reviewed on 2008-08-01

I liked this garlic press. It was pretty and felt powerful (heavy) in my hands. Unfortunately, it snapped in half after about 9 months of regular use and is now rusting in a land fill somewhere...

I wanted to write and complain, but of course, I have no idea where the paperwork for my purchase is, and am basically too lazy to do anything more than warn other consumers such as you....

Like alot of KitchenAid products, this garlic press has strength and durability. It can handle and press through two good-sized garlic pieces with ease, and cleans up beautifully. I have gone through garlic presses that were suppose to be easy to clean or strong, only to have them fall apart and a pain to clean.

No matter what color you get, this KitchenAid garlic press is the one to buy. Oh, if you have strength problems in your hands, from arthritis or whatever, this press is easy to hold and use.

My wife bought this press for me two years ago and I couldn't be happier. It feels very heavy duty and can press multiple cloves in one shot. We haven't had any problems with the handle. We always just rinse it off without running it through the dishwasher. The supplied plastic cleaning tool works well with it.

Even the ones from Pick and save were better. First it takes the strength of Hulk Hogan to press whole cloves, then the handle broke and went flying across the room! Never again and their hand held cheese grater is not too great either, grates fine, but that handle broke off as well! No more Kitchenaid only my beloved stand mixer wich I give 10 stars.

Worked great for over a year. Cleaning it isn't so easy even with the little thing they give you. Then one day during normal use, the plastic handle snapped off. I moved to an all metal version to aviod this happening in the future.
