Amazon.com Review
Perfect for travel and office use, this hair-setting device heats up 10 high-tech rollers in just 90 seconds, and it does so in a soft, nylon travel case that fits into a purse. (The case measures just 7 inches long, 3-3/4 inches high, and 3 inches deep.) The rollers come in two sizes--five 1-1/8-inch, five 1-inch--and turn white when heated, then return to blue when they're ready to remove from your hair. Their surfaces are cushioned to grip hair gently for great styling results. Because it's designed for travel, the device operates worldwide on 110- to 240-volt systems. It comes with 10 color-coded clips, which store in pockets on the case's outside, and there's a fabric-closure pocket on the other side for holding nail clippers and such. The device carries a two-year warranty against defects. --Fred Brack

Compact set, not good if you have long hair, thick hair or... most kinds of hair. - Reviewed on 2007-02-25

I've been the owner of several Remington Express Sets in my lifetime. All of them have worked wonderfully. My issue with these rollers isn't their quality - they work excellently, heat up quickly and are very compact to store. The only problem is that instead of pins, they come with clippy-type holders to keep them in your hair. I suppose the clips would work okay if you have fine, short to medium length hair. I have shoulder length hair that's not very thick, and the clip holders would not keep the rollers in my hair.
I could only put a VERY small section of hair around the roller if I had any hope of it staying put on my head. Most of the time the clips would pop off and the roller would fall out if I so much as turned my head.
Remington has another set of compact express rollers called "All That", which are almost identical in function, only they come with pins instead of the clips. If you're looking for something quality, compact and easy to use that will stay in your hair until YOU'RE ready to take them out, I'd recommend that set instead of this one.
