Editorial Reviews and Product Descriptions

Amazon.com Review

Despite its diminutive size, this KitchenAid coffeemaker brews full-flavored coffee. If your kitchen is tight on space or you only need to make a few cups of java at a time, this is the ideal coffeemaker for you. Its advanced brewing system's extra-long heating element ensures water reaches the optimum brewing temperature before passing through the ground beans: the result is richer coffee. Its warming plate has an expanded-contact element that distributes heat evenly across the plate's surface, so coffee does not overheat and keeps its flavor longer. And, for those of you who are in a rush in the morning, the automatic pause-and-pour valve allows you to pour your first flavorful cup without waiting for the entire pot to brew. --Marcela Broussard

Pretty good little coffeemaker - Reviewed on 2006-10-26

I have had my KitchenAid 4-cup coffeemaker for 5 years and haven't had any problems with it. Coffee is good and it is simple enough to operate while half asleep. My only difficulty is finding a replacement pot.

I bought this 4 Cup Coffeemaker to replace my 4 Cup Braun. Nothing wrong with the Braun except that it became badly stained after 8 years of daily use. So I found this black KitchenAid one. After reading all the complaints of which none that I cannot agree with, I had to come to its defense. It may be a moot point, since it appears Kitchenaid has discontinued making all but the high-end models. First off, I don't tend to pick up the pot while it is mid-way in the brewing process. Also, as with any glass coffee carafe, if you don't hold it spout down while pouring, it dribbles which is what happens when I'm in a hurry or not paying attention. All in all, I am extremely pleased with this model. It makes great coffee (ground fresh, of course). Now my only concern is that I won't be able to locate a replacement carafe in black should I break mine. Note: I've posted a request for one through Amazon.com...

I bought this because of the conveient size & color choices ( I bought blue) but another reviewer put it in the best words, about the LEAKS,,, ongoing NOISES after brewing is over,,, GRINDS in the coffee,,, and most of all DRIBBLE everywhere... its been 2 years... I sold it to the highest bidder & got double what I paid in the 1st place... I really wanted to like the machine :(
This CANNOT be a Kitchen Aid Product - Reviewed on 2004-02-22

Well, the coffee maker says "Kitchen Aid" and the box and the user manuals say "Kitchen Aid", but this product CANNOT be a Kitchen Aid product because "Kitchen Aid" is synonymous with quality and overall kitchen fabulousness. This coffee maker both dribbles and downpours when you pour and the so-called "pause" mechanism more abbreviates than pauses leaving you with a pool of coffee sizzling on the burner. It's a good thing I'm crazy about my other Kitchen Aid products, because if this coffee maker had been my first Kitchen Aid experience, I'd wonder what all the hype was about. So I'm convinced this product must be a doppelganger. It's the only explanation.

I bought this coffee maker from Amazon over a year ago. It brews good coffee - which comes out very hot and flavorful. The only problem is that the carafe tends to spill if you pour too fast. It is the perfect size for my little studio kitchen. Also, the red color is very bright and cheery. I definitely like this product and recommend it. Just remember to pour slowly.
