2 year old loves it - Reviewed on 2008-07-17

My son has enjoyed his jump o lene since we bought it a few months ago.

We decided we needed a makeshift pool for the weekend of July 4th for my 2 year old (yes, white trash), so we filled it with water. As we're filling it, the chamber that serves as the floor of the inside starts to bulge in the center. After filling for a while, we figured out that the drain holes were allowing water to get into the chamber, creating the bulge in the middle of the trampoline, now with water surrounding the bulge.

We figured that was OK if my son were always monitored, so we carefully watched him have an awesome time! He was entertained for hours jumping from the center mountain to the water and bouncing against the sides, swimming around in the circle of water, sliding off the bulge in the middle into the water, etc.

Keep in mind, this creates enormous opportunity for injury & death, so I don't recommend it, but he had a blast! He'll be too big next summer to do this since he'll probably be able to jump from the bulge over the inflatable walls and out onto the ground, so this is only for when a kiddo can't jump too far or high.

We sumped it to drain the water out and it's like new again.

Further - the pump they sent is slow as christmas and overheats often (at least it did for us). Borrow or buy a real air compressor and inflate this thing in a couple minutes. We only used the pump for deflating.

I bought this for my 2-year old niece as a birthday present. She and her 4-year old brother have played in it non-stop for the past few weeks. They LOVE it! Just be forewarned that your kids will find creative ways to leap into this thing so supervise them well.

Unfortunately, a sudden rainshower hit this weekend and water got trapped inside. As a previous reviewer mentioned, there are NO drain holes so the thing wieghs a ton. My brother is still trying to figure out how to get the water out... but we may resort to puncturing it and patching it up. Lesson learned: NEVER leave it outdoors in even the slightest bit of rain!

Finally, if you are thinking of adding balls... buy ALOT. I purchased 200 and they didn't even cover the bottom of the bouncer (NOTE: See picture with boy in green shirt). I would guess you'd need at least 600-800 balls to fill this thing well. The balls are expensive and the kids would have been just as happy without them, so consider whether or not you really need them. Also, it's not much fun picking up 200 balls once the kids decide to have a "snowball" fight with them from their Jump-o-lene fort:)

My 4 year old lives it. I bought it for something for her to do on rainy days inside and she has a lot of fun bouncing and playing inside walls. Kids live getting in things with walls and this is better than a cardboard box.

though my 8 year old is really too big for it, all three of my kids love it! the 2 and 5 year olds do not seem to tire of it. my 5 year old punctured it with a pencil, but i patched it up and it is working great! i definitely recommend it!

This toy has not held air from the first day. I have to blow it up every time my kids want to jump on it. I say save your money and just buy a trampoline.
