perfect depth & number of compartments - Reviewed on 2008-04-05

This organizer is about the perfect size for a box or two of screws or nails. If you need a large variety of fasteners you need the four compartments and the shorter depth of this organizer. The three compartment dividers(of the same depth) leave to much wasted space, unless you just need a lot of fasteners. The deeper red organizers (4 compartment) are only needed for the biggest nails & screws. I could not find this item at any local retailer.

I bought this with the intention of inserting it in the same bucket as the one that I put the Bucket Boss 56 Pocket Tool Organizer onto. When I put it inside, I learned I couldn't fit my larger tools into the inside pockets (the pockets used for the larger tools) of the organizer because the stacking tray made too tight of a fit. Maybe having a deeper bucket might solve the problem.

The bucket boss 15051 stacker system is the best means of organizing small parts I've ever used. I got several sets for organizing plumbing parts and find it the fastest and easiest method to use. Each bucket I use has different sizes (1/2", 3/4", galvanized pipe etc.) and each compartment works GREAT for keeping the various fittings sorted for fast access. I'M NOT A PLUMBER, but own a handyman service, so I don't need huge amounts of any of those on hand unless I'm doing a full re-pipe. I can keep valves, fittings and everything else I need all together. It's large bins are too big for screws and such, but for electrical devices (plugs, plates, switches etc.) it's great as well!

I find these really helpful especially if you are using multiple screw lengths or types. We also use them for wire nuts, nails and the like. SO why 4 stars? I must admit if your a one man shop you might find a parachute bag a better option but if you are part of a crew and sharing materials then this is your best choice
