For a first major album this one is pretty good, but save your money buy the non-import... The "one" bonus track is not worth the extra $$ unless you're a major fan.
I like to have an album I can listen to over and over again. Buy Poses or Want One/Two.

And if you do so like it as I then keep your eyes out for the soundtrack for the movie "The Myth Of Fingerprints" for he has two tracks on there that are my very good. As well the whole of that soundtrack is incredible......

I was watching MTV and suddenly I saw this really bad video; but, nevertheless, the song was amazing. I couldn't believe that such a great song had such a bad and crapy video. Some how, and I don't know why, I decided to buy the C.D. cuz there was no single out. I've never been so glad about purchasing an unknown music article. Incredible! Track after track I was surprised by the perfection of each song, I was completly astonished by the perfection (there is no other word) of this entire musical masterpiece: the lyrics, the music, the instruments, the vocal arrengements, every single detail... Its wonderful! All the songs are completly wonderful and I have to say this is defenetly the must perfect musical work I've heard in years. I guess only Rufus could beat himself.

This is a great album. I love discovering new music, and Wainwright's album is one of the many reasons why. Finding treasures like this just make me smile.

Rufus has a a hint of Gershwin and Porter with their witty lyricism, and lush melodies. His keen "queer" sensibility impart both impassioned believer and harden cynic.

With songs like "Foolish Love" and "In My Arms" invoking the both the joy and fear love, Wainwright hits his stride as a man swaggering with romance, bitterness, hope, and faith tied to his heart and offered to the world.

"I ain't a soft and sacchrine wannabe. Still I pray to God this song will end happily."

We may not now where any love will take us, but Wainwright makes us acknowledge that even the jaded hope to get there.
