I got this album because my favorite actor, Charles Mesure, sang one of the songs in an interview for StarJam in Los Angeles in 2006. I found out about the interview on the Internet recently and wanted to listen to the song he sang. I'm not a music reviewer, but I like a lot about this album.

My favorite song is "Into Temptation" that inspired an idea for a story with a part for Charles Mesure to play in the movie version. The song is lyrical and exciting and seductive. Good job, Neil Finn!

"Better Be Home Soon" is second favorite with the lovely chorus.
I also liked the lowdown "Mansion in the Slums" and "When You Come" that reminds me of a Neil Diamond song. I enjoy listening to these so much that I short-change the others that deserve more attention. It's all good.

I bought a cassette tape a long time ago, approximately 20 years and it was starting to fall apart. Then I checked to see if there was a cd and much to my surprise there was. I bought it right away and it sounds even better than the tape.

I probably wouldn't have liked this in the 1980s or the 1990s because it wasn't hard rock delivered by a female but now 19 years after its release I can really appreciate how skilled and how good Crowded House sounds and I don't need the shotgun blast affect of hard rock like I used to.

The music of Crowded House leaves decades of artists in the dust from the Beatles to the rest of these current overblown singer/songwriters who sound like crap. I pop this in the car radio when I don't want to listen to the annoying junk on radio and it's not chill music nor power rock but it isin the middle which suits me fine now in 2007.

My favorite CD, ever. - Reviewed on 2007-08-12

This is my desert island CD. Listening to this CD is a sensual experience that climaxes with "When You Come" and "In The Lowlands" and ends with the gentle caress of "Better Be Home Soon". Pure gorgeous brillance.
