There was at least one good surprise on this-- and that was "Let Me Put Love on Your Mind."

The rest of the CD was generally good. But a lot of this music is such that you have to be in the mood to hear it. It's not quite Quiet Storm-- but very close.

It is worth buying second hand.

What can you say about ConFunkShun other than that despite their popularity, they should've been even more popular. What a great funk group. Listening to this greatest hits package one has to wonder how the light pop of Kool and the Gang (a group I like) struck so much gold, while ConFunkShun labored in a bit of obscurity.

Sure, there's those great hits, "Pfun," "Straight From the Heart," and "Love's Train," simply fabulous tunes. But there's plenty of more great stuff here. All out funk, dance tunes, and just great ballads has me loving this group and also has me wondering just why were they a bit of a secret?

and all in all this is a very nice cd.
